Useful information for your holiday in Liguria
To help you organize your holiday we have decided to provide you with all the information and advice that might be useful for your stay in Liguria.
Below you will find many suggestions for visiting the main attractions of the area, from Cinque Terre to Lunigiana, to relax on the best beaches and to discover the ancient origins of eastern Liguria.
The beaches of Liguria
The sea of eastern Liguria is particular, it bathes three different types of coastline, each with its own characteristics and peculiarities.
The type of terrain has allowed the creation of beaches of sand, gravel and rock all very close and easily accessible by different means.
These kind of beaches, easily reachable on foot from the hotel, are mostly occupied by bathing establishments that offer all the services necessary to spend a nice day at the beach, this makes them ideal for families with children and for those who want to do sports, being able to take advantage of the services offered by the KauKau School, at the Rainbow Bath.
They owe their origins to the erosive force of the sea that, acting on the promontories of the Ligurian coast, has created coves where you can relax in peace and quiet.
This kind of beaches are both private and public, the beach of Punta Corvo is accessible by boat service, 500 meters from the hotel, and the beach of Fiascherino instead, is accessible by car or motorcycle.
These beaches are ideal for couples, but are also quite accessible for families with children not too young.
In all cases we recommend you to visit these magnificent beaches early in the morning or in the evening to enjoy an extreme relaxation, admire the clear sea bed and avoid the afternoon heat.
Rock inlets and rocks
The inlets of rock and rocks are one of the wonders offered by the territory, in fact it is not uncommon to find beaches composed of large white boulders like marble that offer sunsets and breathtaking sunrises.
The most famous are the beaches of Punta Bianca and Tellaro, recommended for individuals or couples, for families are not ideal given the positions of not easy access, but are easily visited as a way of excursions, perhaps during the early hours of the day or in the evening./p>
Lunigiana and its history
Those who visit eastern Liguria will not fail to notice the diversification of the territory, the presence of many villages on the coast, each with its own characteristics, and the presence of historical settlements typical of Lunigiana.
In ancient times our area was called Porto Lunae, attributed by the ancient Romans, still today there are several settlements that can be visited as the Roman Villa of Bocca di Magra, the archaeological museum of Luni and the historic center of Sarzana.
A little further away, in the town of Potremoli, you can visit the castle of Piagnaro with the only museum of Stele Statues.
